The Sweetpea Smiles Experience
Dental Care for Babies
At Sweetpea Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, we are committed to serving our youngest patients, and we are excited to watch them develop beautiful, bright smiles! The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children have their initial visit to the dentist when their first tooth appears or by their first birthday. At your baby’s first dental visit, we educate you about nutrition, oral home care for your baby and what to expect for your baby’s smile in the years to come.
What to Expect at Your Child or Teen’s First Dental Visit
We want to ensure that you receive a thorough consultation between you, your child and Dr. Hunter, and that you have plenty of time to ask our team any questions you may have. Afterward we will outline any existing dental problems, proposed treatment and an estimate of all costs. Oral hygiene instructions will also be given with suggestions to help you and your child care for their teeth.
Safety & Comfort
Adherence to Standard Sterilization
Our team is following all recommended sanitization guidelines provided by the CDC, ADA, and OSHA. All common areas are sanitized between each visit including but not limited to patient chairs, waiting areas, pens, tablets, tools and equipment.
Continued Social Distancing Practices
We are currently limiting the amount of patients within the office at one time. A parent is required to join their child during each dental visit. We are screening all patients and parents prior to their visit to ensure their overall health.
Preemptive Patient Screenings
All patients and staff members will be screened and have temperatures taken upon arrival. We request for all patients to contact our office for more details pertaining to our efforts during these times.
Affordable Pediatric Dentistry
At Sweetpea Smiles our goal is to make quality children’s dentistry affordable for everyone. We seek to remove financial barriers so that all of our young patients can receive the care they need.
We work with many dental insurance companies, and we are happy to file and track your claims to help you maximize your benefits. Please bring your current insurance card and information with you to your child’s first visit. We may ask you to confirm this information at subsequent visits so we can remain up-to-date and fully informed to serve you and your family.

We accept cash, checks, debit cards and most major credit cards. We also accept flex accounts. All payments are due at time of services rendered.
